Mark Kane | fiddle
| Belfast-born Mark Kane is one of the finest multi- instrumentalists and singers playing Irish music today. He grew up surrounded by music and studied for many years at the McPeake School of Music in Belfast. He would later win first prize, senior level, at the Ulster championships for his guitar playing and place second on bouzouki at the All Ireland finals. Mark is an experienced teacher of fiddle, guitar, bouzouki, and mandolin and taught for several years at The Pipers Club in Dublin. He has toured Ireland, Europe, and the US and was a member of several groups including Callura, Tamlin, and The Brendan Monaghan Band. He has performed with Christy Moore, the Irish folk singing legend, and with international pop star Brian Kennedy. He currently resides in the US and tours with the renowned Irish fiddler James Kelly. | ![]() |
