James Kelly is one of the greatest Irish fiddlers alive today. Born in Dublin, James grew up listening to and playing traditional Irish music. His father, John Kelly, the renowned fiddle and concertina player from County Clare, began teaching James to play at the age of three. James has toured Europe, the US, Canada, and South America and was a member of many highly regarded groups including Planxty and Patrick Street. James has also appeared with the Chieftains. In addition to his performing career, James has composed more than 200 tunes. He has recently released his second solo album and recorded with the Bee Gees. James periodically tours the US and Europe with multi-instrumentalist and singer, Mark Kane. |
