| Chris Norman’s diverse talents have gained him
international recognition as one of the leading performers of traditional folk and early
music. A native of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Chris began his musical studies at the age of
ten. In addition to solo concerts and appearances with various orchestras, Chris has
toured the US, Canada, and Europe with the group Helicon (of which he is a founding
member) and The Baltimore Consort, one of America’s leading early music ensembles.
Chris has two solo releases on the Dorian label: The Man With the Wooden Flute,
which made the Billboard crossover charts for 12 weeks, and The Beauty of the North,
